Online via credit card or electronic check: Donors can give through the GiveGreen website by credit card or electronic check (ACH) donation. A 3.95% fee (plus $0.30 per transaction) is deducted from each online contribution (credit card and electronic check) to cover credit card vendor and processor fees.

By physical check: For donors who want to send a personal check, make your check payable to the candidate’s committee and send to:

There are no processing fees for mailed checks.

Note you will need to send individual checks for each candidate to whom you are donating.

Wire: If you would like to consider wiring a donation over $50,000, the option will appear during step three of check out. Once you submit a contribution, an email with wiring instructions will be sent to your desired email address. (If the wire instructions need to go to an additional email address, you can add that address when prompted during check out)

What does the 3.95% fee per contribution cover? 

The 3.95% fee for each online contribution covers credit card fees (typically around 3%) and fees for our processing and distribution vendor, Democracy Engine, which empowers donors on GiveGreen to support the candidates they care about. There is also a $0.30 per transaction charge to cover Democracy Engine expenses for processing and distribution. The online vendor fees are a necessary component of GiveGreen’s legal and compliance structure, and matches industry standard (See Act Blue’s pricing).
