She serves as Oregon’s Labor Commissioner, a position voters statewide elected her to in 2018. Previously, she represented Oregon’s 14th District in the state legislature from 2009 to 2017. In the Oregon House, Hoyle served on various committees including the House Committee on Business and Labor, and as the Chair of the House Committee on Rules. In 2012, Hoyle was elected to be the House Majority Leader for the 2013 Legislative Session. As Majority Leader, Hoyle helped lead the effort to whip the votes to make Oregon’s Clean Fuels program permanent when it was threatened due to a sunset clause. Hoyle will focus on accelerating our transition to a clean energy economy powered by good-paying union jobs. She earned a stellar 100% lifetime score on LCV’s National Environmental Scorecard.
