Candidate Background

Representative Sharice Davids is running for a fourth term to represent Kansas’ 3rd congressional district. After graduating from Cornell Law School, Davids worked n in the Obama administration on the White House Fellowship Program. Davids has also spent time working on economic development projects in Native American communities with a focus on sustainability. Rep. Davids sponsored the bipartisan Recovering America’s Wildlife Act, which would make the largest investment in history in on-the-ground wildlife conservation. She brought federal funding back to Kansas for local green space initiatives like the 6th St. Bike Boulevard and Heritage Trail Connection, the Sumner Area Green Corridor, and the Klamm Park Trail. Additionally, she voted to pass new tax breaks so Kansans can save money when buying electric vehicles and upgrading the energy efficiency of their homes. Representative Davids has earned a stellar lifetime score of 96% on LCV’s National Environmental Scorecard. Representative Davids is endorsed by LCV Action Fund and NRDC Action Fund.
