CANDIDATE BACKGROUND
Dante Pittman is a proud homegrown Wilsonian and graduate of Wilson County Public Schools. After college, he worked for Attorney General Josh Stein. Eager to serve his hometown, he returned home through the inaugural Lead for NC program to work on the City of Wilson leadership team for 4 years. He has served on over 10 local non-profit and public service boards, including as Chair of the Wilson County Department of Social Services. He currently serves as a Captain in the North Carolina National Guard and is a Grant Writer at Barton College.
Dante wants to make life easier for working families in eastern North Carolina and will be a champion for affordable healthcare, public education, and economic opportunities. He is committed to conserving farmland, supporting agriculture workers, and preserving clean air and water access.
