CANDIDATE BACKGROUND

Dan Osborn is running to represent Nebraska in the U.S. Senate. Dan joined the United States Navy and served for 4 years, where he then joined the Nebraska Army National Guard. In 2004, he worked as an industrial mechanic at the Kellogg’s plant in Omaha where he rose to the presidency of his union. He led the successful 2021 Kellogg’s strike in Omaha, preserving hundreds of middle-class jobs for the next generation of workers. 

If elected to Congress, he will support the transition to 100% clean energy, work to advance environmental justice initiatives and wll advocate to halt fossil fuel developments on public lands.
