Senator Tammy Baldwin is running for her second term representing Wisconsin in the U.S. Senate. In 2012, she made history with her election as the first open LGBTQ U.S. Senator in our country’s history. Baldwin previously spent fourteen years in the U.S. House serving Wisconsin’s 2nd Congressional District, three terms as a state representative and four terms on the Dane County Board of Supervisors. During her tenure on the powerful Energy and Commerce Committee, she helped author and pass the U.S. House’s comprehensive clean energy and climate bill, the American Clean Energy and Security Act of 2009. Senator Baldwin has consistently fought for clean air and water, and has been a strong advocate for protecting Wisconsin’s national treasures, including the Great Lakes and the Ice Age Trail. Senator Tammy Baldwin has earned an impressive 97% lifetime score on LCV’s National Environmental Scorecard.
