Senator Blumenthal has a long history in government fighting for environmental priorities, serving in the state House and Senate and 20 years as Connecticut’s Attorney General. As Attorney General, he was a vocal advocate for the need to combat global climate change, bringing suit against several coal-fired utilities in the Midwest for generating excess carbon pollution.
