Maria Cantwell is currently serving her fourth term to represent Washington in the U.S. Senate. Cantwell previously served in the U.S. House and state House. As the ranking Democrat on the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee, she has been an outspoken advocate for reducing our dependence on fossil fuels, a defender of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, and a strong voice for protecting roadless areas in our national forests. Cantwell has been a leader in opposing offshore drilling, particularly on the West Coast and in Washington. In the Senate, Cantwell will continue to lead efforts to grow our clean energy economy and limit the carbon pollution driving climate change. Senator Cantwell has earned a 93% lifetime score on LCV’s National Environmental Scorecard.
