U.S. Senator Bob Casey has been a strong supporter of the environment during his two terms in the U.S. Senate. He has increasingly spoken out about the need for immediate action to address the climate crisis, and was an early opponent of extreme Big Polluter ally Scott Pruitt’s nomination for EPA Administrator. Driven by his concern for our children’s health, he has consistently fought for clean air and water. He has repeatedly voted to end taxpayer funded subsidies to Big Oil and to extend tax incentives for clean, renewable energies. Casey has also introduced the FRAC Act to regulate fracking under the Safe Drinking Water Act and require drillers to disclose the chemicals used in their operations. For his efforts, Senator Casey has earned a strong 91% lifetime score on LCV’s National Environmental Scorecard.
